I am thrilled to be on the "Journey of Teaching and Learning" with the children, parents and staff of a first-rate school. I believe that the most effective schools are built on a partnership between school staff and parents, and working together, we are making Country Elementary a place where every child is successful and loves to go to school.

At Country Elementary our students are challenged to attain academic excellence. We are also dedicated to developing our future citizens. Each child's social and emotional growth is fostered through our commitment to teaching the seventeen Lifeskills of caring, common sense, cooperation, curiosity, effort, flexibility, friendship, initiative, integrity, organization, patience, perseverance, pride, problem solving, responsibility, and sense of humor. Each month a different Lifeskill is emphasized through announcements, assemblies, and other special activities. Parents are also asked to help reinforce these skills.
